Are You Honey Material?

The Mu Chapter of the Delta Xi Nu Multicultural Sorority Inc. hosts a recruitment process in both the Fall and Spring. Recruitment for ladies interested in joining is based upon a number of criteria including, but not limited to academic standing, professionalism, and an interest in learning about diversity and other cultures.

Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some frequently asked questions that interested ladies have about our recruitment process. If you don't see your question here, please email us at mu.deltaxinu@gmail.com.

Be on the lookout for Informational sessions held both semesters! These sessions are designed to educate on the history of Delta Xi Nu Multicultural Sorority, Inc. and the Mu Chapter, as well as to provide more information about recruitment.

1. Do you have to be a specific ethnic background to join?

No. Delta Xi Nu is open to womxn of ALL cultural backgrounds. We are looking for womxn who understand the founding principles of our organization and are willing to uphold the values of Delta Xi Nu.

2. What are the requirements for Interested Ladies?

Womxn interested in Delta Xi Nu should be enrolled full time (12 credit hours) and have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. They should have an interest in our goals and mission, as well as time to dedicate to learning information about Delta Xi Nu.

3. How does your sorority select new members?

We like to get to know the womxn who are interested in our sorority (and allow them to get to know us as well) through events, volunteer opportunities, and an interview before we extend them an opportunity to begin the process of becoming a sister of Delta Xi Nu. None of this is to scare potential new members but aid them in figuring out if DXN is right for them.

4. Does your organization haze?

We are a non-hazing organization. Delta Xi Nu prohibits all chapters, colonies, students, and alumni from conducting or condoning hazing activities. It is our policy to not force any interested women of Delta Xi Nu to participate in an activity that makes them feel uncomfortable. Our organization is committed to a meaningful, positive, and productive membership experience.

5. Can Stephens College students participate in the recruitment process?

Yes! Stephens College womxn who are interested in becoming a sister are extended an invitation to join alongside Mizzou students.
